Pill Counter uses on-device AI (a custom-trained YOLOv11 model running on Apple's Core ML) to detect and count pills on a tray. Simply point your camera at the pills and the app will detect and count them in real time or via a captured image.
Yes. All image processing happens entirely on your device. No photos, detection results, or counting data are ever sent to our servers or any third party. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Free: Up to 50 pills per tray, 1 tray per session, 3 saved sessions.
Premium: Up to 500 pills per tray, unlimited trays, batch counting with running totals, export, and full session history.
Place pills on a clean, flat tray with good lighting. Spread pills so they don't overlap. Hold your phone directly overhead. Use "Capture & Count" mode for the highest accuracy — it merges multiple frames for better results.
After counting, use the review screen to make corrections. Tap on a missed pill to add it, or tap a false detection to remove it. Pills highlighted in orange are uncertain — double-check those first.
Open the app, go to Settings, and tap "Restore Purchases." Your subscription is linked to your Apple ID and will be restored automatically.
Go to Settings on your iPhone → tap your name → Subscriptions → Pill Counter → Cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You can also manage subscriptions through the App Store.
No. Pill Counter is a counting assistance tool. It is not a medical device and is not a substitute for professional judgment or established pharmacy counting procedures. Always visually verify the count.
