Summary
Image to Text does its job entirely on your iPhone. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data — your photos, the text we extract from them, your device identifiers, your usage patterns, or your location. There are no user accounts, no analytics SDKs, no advertising networks, and no third-party tracking pixels in the app.

What stays on your device
Photos you capture or pick from your library are read by Apple's on-device Vision framework. The framework extracts text and returns it to the app. Both the input image and the extracted text remain on your iPhone in memory and are discarded as soon as you dismiss the result screen.
What we don't collect
We do not collect, send, or store:
- Your photos or any other images
- The text extracted from your photos
- Your name, email, phone number, or any other identifier
- Your IP address, device ID, or advertising ID
- Your location, contacts, calendar, or any other system data
- App usage statistics, crash reports, or analytics events
Subscriptions and payments
Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple under your Apple ID. Apple shares with us only an anonymous receipt that confirms whether your subscription is active. We never see your name, email, payment method, or any other personal information about you. Apple's privacy policy: apple.com/legal/privacy.
Permissions the app requests
Camera — required so you can capture a photo of the text you want to scan. The captured image is processed locally and discarded.
Photo library — required so you can pick an image already on your iPhone. We only read the image you explicitly select; we never enumerate or upload your library.
You can revoke either permission at any time in Settings → Image to Text.
Third parties
We do not embed any third-party SDKs in the app — no analytics, no crash reporters, no advertising networks. The only "external" service involved is Apple's StoreKit, which handles subscription billing.
Children
The app is rated 4+ and contains no age-restricted content. We do not knowingly collect any data from anyone — adult or child.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Substantive changes will also be flagged in the app's release notes.
