On the Diary tab, tap Log incident now. Noise Log records the time, starts a duration timer and, if you allow microphone access, estimates the sound level. Choose a category, tag how it affected you, add notes, then Save. You can also add a past incident with Add a past incident.

No. The microphone is only used to estimate the sound level while the logging screen is open, always with a visible recording indicator. If you decline, you can still log incidents and write notes; you just will not see a measured level.

Quiet hours default to 22:00 to 07:00. Any incident overlapping that window is flagged as a night-time disturbance. Change the window in Settings, under Quiet hours and country.

Go to the Export tab and tap Create report. The PDF includes an incident table, summary statistics, charts and an integrity page. The free tier produces one watermarked sample; Premium produces unlimited clean reports.

On the Export tab, tap Write a letter, choose your recipient (landlord, council or building manager) and your country. Noise Log drafts an editable letter from your log that you review and send. It is a document generator, not legal advice.

In Settings, under Your details. These are used to fill in your report and letters and are stored only on your device.
