MultiDocX — PDF & Office document translation
PDF, Microsoft Word (DOCX), Microsoft Excel (XLSX), and Microsoft PowerPoint (PPTX). Legacy formats (DOC, XLS, PPT) are not supported — open them in Office and Save As the modern format first.
30+ languages including all major European and many Asian languages. The full list is shown in the language picker. Quality varies by language pair — Western European pairs are the strongest.
Translated text is rarely the same length as the original (German is often longer, Chinese is often shorter). MultiDocX tries to keep the layout, but if a translation runs longer than the original, lines may wrap differently or shift down. Tables and images are kept in place.
Machine translation is best for general prose, less reliable for technical, legal, or marketing copy. Always review the output before relying on it. If you find a consistently wrong term, let us know — we can sometimes adjust per-customer glossaries.
The upload page shows the current limit, which depends on your plan. For very large documents, split them into chapters and translate each one separately.
Original uploads are deleted from our processing servers within minutes of the translation completing. Translated copies stay in your account so you can re-download them; you can delete them at any time. We never use your documents for model training. See the Privacy Policy for full details.
