How does automatic drive detection work?

Turn on automatic detection in Settings and grant "Always" location access. MileVault uses motion and location signals to detect when you start and stop driving, then records the trip. To save battery, full GPS runs only while you are actually driving.

Automatic detection isn't catching my drives.

Make sure location is set to "Always" (Settings → Tracking → Open Settings) and that automatic detection is switched on. Detection improves over your first few real drives. You can always record a drive with "Start a trip manually" or add one with the + button.

Where is my data stored?

Entirely on your device. MileVault has no account and no server — your miles never leave your phone.

How is my deduction calculated?

MileVault multiplies your business miles by the current IRS (US) or HMRC (UK) mileage rate. Choose your region in Settings. For the UK, MileVault handles the 10,000-mile threshold automatically across the tax year.

How do I export a report?

Open the Reports tab, choose a period, and export a PDF or CSV. Report export is a Premium feature.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Manage everything in your Apple ID account settings: support.apple.com/en-us/HT202039. Use "Restore purchases" in Settings if you reinstall or switch devices.
