MileVault is built around one promise: your miles never leave your phone. This policy explains exactly what that means.
Nothing. MileVault has no account system, no login, and no server. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your data on any server we or anyone else controls.
MileVault uses your device location to detect drives and measure mileage. This location data — including your routes and any places you save — is stored only on your device. It is never uploaded, never sent to us, and never shared with any third party. If you delete the app, this data is removed with it.
MileVault requests "Always" location so it can detect the start and end of a drive in the background, which is the app's core function. You can use the app with "While Using" permission instead; automatic background detection will simply not run.
MileVault uses motion activity (Core Motion) on-device to recognise when you are driving, so it can start and stop tracking automatically and save battery. This data is processed on your device and is never transmitted.
There are none. MileVault contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising, and no third-party trackers.
Subscriptions and the one-time Lifetime unlock are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles payment; we never see your payment details. See Apple's privacy policy for how Apple processes purchases.
MileVault is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page.
