The barcode won't scan.

• Scan the PDF417 barcode on the BACK of the license (the wide, rectangular barcode), not the front.
• Turn on the Light button in dark rooms and hold the card 10 to 20 cm from the camera.
• Use the Zoom button for small or worn barcodes, and tilt the card slightly to kill glare.
• Only US and Canadian driver's licenses and ID cards with an AAMVA barcode are supported.

The camera screen is black.

• Open iOS Settings, find ID Scanner, and make sure Camera access is allowed.

My scan log is empty.

• Logging is off by default. Enable "Keep a scan log" in the app's Settings. Some regions restrict retaining scanned ID data, so check your local rules first.

Premium didn't unlock after payment.

• Open Settings in the app and tap the paywall, then "Restore Purchases".
• Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID that made the purchase.

Premium is a weekly subscription with a 3-day free trial, or an annual subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

Refunds are handled by Apple through the App Store.

ID Scanner decodes the data inside the barcode and calculates age. It cannot determine whether a document is genuine. Use the verdict, the cross-check and your own judgement together.
