App Harbour ApS ("we," "us," or "our") operates the ID Scanner: Age Verify Check mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information.
The short version: everything the App does happens on your iPhone. We do not collect, receive, transmit, sell, or share any data scanned with the App. There is no account, no sign-up, and no cloud service behind the App.
Scanned ID data
- The barcode is decoded entirely on your device. Decoded data (name, date of birth, expiry date, and similar fields) is shown on screen and then discarded, unless you have turned on the optional scan log.
- The App never photographs or stores images of documents.
- Decoded data is never sent to us or to any third party. The App works fully offline.
The optional scan log
- Scan logging is off by default.
- If enabled, log entries (name, age, date of birth, jurisdiction, pass/fail result, and time) are stored only on your device, encrypted at rest by iOS. License numbers are never written to the log.
- You can protect the log with Face ID / Touch ID, export it yourself as a CSV file, and delete it at any time from within the App.
- You are responsible for complying with the laws of your jurisdiction regarding retention of data scanned from identification documents. Some regions restrict or prohibit such retention; the App's default (logging off) reflects that.
VIP / banned lists
Patron flags you create (name, note, and a matching key derived from the scanned document) are stored only on your device and never leave it.
Information we do not collect
We do not collect personal information, usage analytics, advertising identifiers, or crash reports through the App. The App contains no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
Subscriptions
- Subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store.
- We do not collect or store your payment information.
- The App receives only the subscription entitlement status from Apple in order to unlock premium features.
Support email
If you email us for support, we receive your email address and the contents of your message. We use them only to respond to you and do not share them with anyone.
Children's privacy
The App is a professional tool intended for adults (17+) such as venue staff. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Your rights
Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, or delete on our side. Data on your device (the scan log and patron flags) is under your direct control and can be deleted in the App or by deleting the App.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
