Deposit Shield collects no data. There is no account, no analytics, no tracking and no third-party SDKs. Your photos, location stamps and notes stay on your device and, if you choose, in your own iCloud. We never receive any of it.
Who we are
Deposit Shield is published by App Harbour ApS. This policy explains how the app handles your information. In short: it stays with you.
Data we collect
None. Our App Store privacy declaration is "Data Not Collected". We do not operate accounts, servers that store your content, analytics pipelines or advertising trackers. We cannot see your inspections, your photos, your notes or where you are.
What stays on your device
Everything you create in Deposit Shield is stored locally on your iPhone:
- Your properties and inspections
- Photos and video walkthroughs
- Condition ratings and notes
- Timestamps, GPS coordinates embedded in your evidence, and SHA-256 hashes
- Generated PDF reports
Location
If you allow location access, Deposit Shield uses your location only to stamp your evidence photos so they show where they were taken. This location data is written into your own evidence and never leaves your device. There is no location tracking, and location is never sent to us or anyone else. You can decline location entirely and still capture and hash photos.
Camera and photos
The camera is used to take your inspection photos and video. These files are saved within the app on your device. We do not upload them anywhere.
iCloud backup
Premium includes an optional iCloud backup. If you turn it on, your Deposit Shield data is backed up to your own iCloud account under your Apple ID. This is Apple's iCloud, governed by Apple's terms and privacy policy, not App Harbour servers. We have no access to your iCloud data. If you prefer, you can leave iCloud backup off and keep everything solely on your device.
Third parties
Deposit Shield contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs. The only third party involved is Apple, who processes your purchases through the App Store and, if you enable it, stores your iCloud backup. We never sell or share your data because we never have it.
Purchases
Purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple through the App Store. Apple processes payment and manages entitlements. We do not receive your payment details. Apple's handling of that information is covered by Apple's own privacy policy.
Children
Deposit Shield is intended for adults managing their own tenancies and is not directed at children.
Your control
Because your data lives on your device, you are always in control. Deleting an inspection, a photo or the app removes that content from your device. If you use iCloud backup, manage or delete that backup through your iOS settings.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we will post the new version here with a revised date. Since the app collects no data, any changes will be minor and clarifying.
