Conversion problems

The conversion is stuck on "Warming up the server…"

The backend runs on a free hosting tier that sleeps after 15 minutes of inactivity. The first conversion of a quiet day takes 30–60 seconds while the server wakes up. After that, conversions are quick. The app retries automatically.

I got a "PAGE_LIMIT_EXCEEDED" error

Each tier has a per-file page cap: free tier accepts up to 50 pages, Weekly Premium up to 300, Annual Premium up to 500. Split the file (in Files or Preview on macOS) into smaller PDFs and try again, or upgrade.

I got a "Conversion limit reached" error

Free tier allows 2 conversions per day; Weekly Premium 30 per week; Annual Premium 100 per day. The counter resets at the start of the next window. Upgrade in the app's paywall for higher limits.

The output looks weird (boxes instead of letters)

This happens when the PDF was made from a font that isn't standard. Word substitutes a default font, which can break the layout. If your source PDF has selectable text, copying-pasting straight from Preview into Word may give a cleaner result. For scanned PDFs, our OCR rebuilds the text, which usually fixes this.

Tables came through wrong

Simple grid-style tables convert well. Complex multi-line or merged-cell tables sometimes lose alignment. If a table matters, paste only that section through and adjust formatting in Word.

Subscriptions and billing

How do I cancel my subscription?

On your iPhone or iPad: Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → PDF to Word → Cancel Subscription. Or use Apple's manage subscriptions guide. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep premium until then.

How do I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple, not by App Harbour. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, find the PDF to Word purchase, and request a refund. Apple usually responds within a few days.

I bought premium on another device — how do I restore it?

Open the app, go to Settings → Paywall, and tap Restore Purchases. The app re-fetches your active subscription from Apple. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID that made the original purchase.

Does the 3-day free trial auto-renew?

Yes — when the 3-day trial ends, the weekly subscription starts billing automatically unless you cancel before then. You can cancel at any time during the trial in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions; you keep access until the trial period ends.

Privacy and data

What happens to my files after conversion?

Files are uploaded over an encrypted connection (TLS) to our conversion service, processed only for the duration of the conversion, and deleted from the server immediately afterwards. No copies are retained, indexed, used for training, or shared. See the full privacy policy.

Do you have an account or email signup?

No. The app uses no accounts. Your purchase is linked to your Apple ID; there is no separate login.
