Common questions

How do I add an item?

Tap the + on the Inventory tab and enter a name, storage location, category, quantity, and expiry date. Or tap the barcode icon to scan a product and have the name filled in for you.

Why didn't the barcode find my product?

Barcode names come from the community Open Food Facts database, which doesn't have every product. When a product isn't found, just type the name yourself — everything else works the same.

How do I turn on expiry reminders?

Open Settings (the gear icon), toggle on Expiry reminders, and allow notifications when prompted. You can set how many days before expiry you want to be reminded.

How do I enable the camera?

The first time you scan, iOS asks for camera permission. If you declined, enable it in the iOS Settings app under FreshStock. You can always add items by hand instead.

What's included for free?

You can track up to 15 items for free. Premium unlocks unlimited items, the full shopping list, and waste insights.

How do I restore a purchase?

Open Settings in the app and tap Restore Purchases, using the same Apple ID you bought with.

How do I manage or cancel a subscription?

Manage everything in your Apple ID subscription settings. The Lifetime option is a one-time purchase and does not renew.

Subscription information

FreshStock offers a Lifetime one-time purchase, a Weekly subscription with a 3-day free trial, and an Annual subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel any time in your Apple ID settings.
